About Our Mustang Club

Founded in April 2006

While we call Asheville home, the Blue Ridge Mustang Club covers western North Carolina, stretching from South Carolina to East Tennessee. We are passionate about the Ford Mustang, and our members own Mustangs from all generations. By being active in community events, regional car shows, leisurely mountain drives, and group gatherings, we provide our Club Members with numerous opportunities to enjoy their Mustang ownership. 


Additionally, we've proudly been a charter member of the Mustang Club of America since March 20, 2008, solidifying our place as a premier car club in Asheville.

ORIG FROM BRONX, NY. RAY HAD AN INTEREST IN CARS AS A YOUNG BOY. HE WENT TO THE WORLD'S FAIR  IN 1964 AND SAW THE FIRST MUSTANG.RAY FOLLOWED HIS FATHER  WHERE HE WORKED AT THE FORD MAHWAH ASSEMBLY PLANT.  HE HAS OWNED 4 MUSTANGS AND CURRENTLY HAS A 1989 WHITE FOXBODY 25TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION. RAY IS THE BUILDING SUPERVISOR FOR UNITED WAY.

ORIG FROM SOUTH FLORIDA. ARRIVED ASHEVILLE 1979. INTEREST IN CARS BEGAN AT AGE 12(1964).   THE BECKS HAVE A PRISTINE 1993  LX 5.0 CONV WITH THE DISTINCTION OF BEING ONLY 1 OF 6 IN THE WORLD WITH  RED, BLUE AND WHITE MEDALLIONS.

OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL YEARS HE WAS INVOLVED  IN THE PRINTING BUSINESS CULMINATING IN A CORPORATE CAREER WITH INTERNATIONAL PAPER. HIS INTEREST IN CARS STARTED IN 1959 WITH A CHEVY IMPALA. HE CURRENTLY OWNS 2 MUSTANGS, A 2014 AND 2025.

PURCHASED A NEW 1969 MACH 1. I'VE OWNED 3 MUSTANGS. PURCHASED A NEW 2001 MIATA. AFTER OWNING 4 MIATAS, I RETURNED TO MUSTANGS PURCHASING A 2005 RED MUSTANG GT CONVERTIBLE.

    Saturday, June 13th

    SEVERAL OF US WENT TO THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF THE FIRST TENNESSEE REGIONAL GROUP MUSTANG CLUB HELD AT THE BEAUTIFUL ALLANDALE MUSEUM IN KINGSPORT. THIS WAS A WELL EXECUTED SHOW AND ENJOYED OVER 200 CARS REGISTERED. 

    ANNOUNCEMENT

    CONGRATULATIONS TO KEN WILSON CROSSROADS FORD FOR WINNING THE PRESIDENTS AWARD UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF GM JEFF PRUITT. JEFF ALSO HAS BEEN ELECTED TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF CHAMPION CREDIT UNION.


    ADDITIONAL

    MONDAY, STEVE COTTLE ATTENDED THE ELDERLY ABUSE CAR SHOW AT THE HAYWOOD LODGE AND RETIREMENT CENTER IN WAYNESVILLE. TALKED WITH CHAD BROWN PROMOTER OF THE HAZELWOOD CRUISE IN EVENTS. HAZELWOOD WILL HOST THEIR FIRST CRUISE IN SATURDAY, JUNE 20 ON MAIN STREET IN HAZELWOOD.

    TUESDAY, STEVE TRAVELED TO MYRA'S DINER IN VALDESE TO CHECK OUT THE CRUISE IN. MYRA'S HOSTS A REGULAR CRUISE IN ON FRIDAY NIGHTS AND ENJOYS UPWARDS OF 200 VEHICLES. FRIDAY, JUNE 19, THE TRANSYLVANIA CRUSIERS WILL LEAVE FROM THE FAIRVIEW INGLES AT 5PM TO DRIVE TO VALDESE. WE ARE WELCOME TO JOIN THEM.
